Goals

• To impart knowledge regarding surgical and functional anatomy that is a crucial part of surgeries.
• With increase in awareness- female facial and genital rejuvenation is fast becoming a line of super specialisation in plastic surgery. Patients of all age groups are visiting medical centres for “scar-less” prevention and improvement of the signs of aging.
• The conventional anti-aging treatments involved major, complicated and long time surgeries with postoperative down-time of over 30 days’ recovery.
• Blepharoplasty, facial fat grafting, labiaplasty, hymenoplasty and lipoinjection of the external genitals are relatively new techniques. These offer the patient obvious short-term, permanent results, with postoperative down-time of less than 10 days and significantly high rates of satisfaction. With these procedures patients avoid use of allogeneic products that cause incurable deformities. We currently employ autologous implants, a technique we propose to achieve the most beneficial results for our patients.

Methods

This is an exclusive opportunity for students as the professors and other professionals will enrich the students with knowledge and surgical skills.

The students will have an opportunity to learn with complete practical approach. Every topic will be introduced with a theoretical introduction and later developed in depth, while the professor performs techniques on actual patients.

Learning from experienced professors as they perform techniques on real patients is like difference between reading an incident in a book and living that incident.

In this way this workshop will be very beneficial for neo-professionals, who have just started the practice, as well as practicing professionals of aesthetic medicine. With this approach, you will be prepared to practice by the time you complete the course.

Hands on Experience

The opportunity to learn and practice on the real patients under the expert supervision provides the necessary confidence to apply in actual practice: Ready to exercise. All the attendees will get all the documentation. Once the course is over, students have access to personalized tutoring and a follow-up on what they’ve learned. More than 30 patients will be treated in the practical part of the course.

Teaching strategy

The teaching activities that form part of the training will have an international scope. They will be carried out on a full-time basis, with a professor from the Plastic Surgery Department. More than 30 patients will be treated in the practical part of the course.

Considering the surgical programming of the department, self-preparation and independent work will be required. This will be materialized through educational tasks, dialogue exchanges and work in the treatment room.
